Incarceration (commonly referred to as ‘lockdown’) has not boded well with me.
As a child of God and a citizen of a democratic society to be denied access to my Lord, through the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, and my personal freedom, has heightened satan’s presence: weaving his hate and deceit.
I am astounded by people’s acquiescence.
Many are using this time of quiet to reflect and have a deeper appreciation of what they have or did have.
The door that our Lord unlocked for me was pondering the Mysteries of Revelations. Much of the imagery is explained in the Words prior.
My strongest message was in Revelations 17:17 ‘…God had put it in their hearts to fulfil His will…’. Sound familiar? Jesus crafted a prayer for us praying for that very outcome ‘Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’ (Lord’s Prayer, Jesus Christ, The Alpha and The Omega). Having read Revelations I now have a deeper sense of what we are praying for. Indeed the essence of pray has changed for me.
And still I sing, now with more fevour, Day by Day (Godspell by J. Tebelak, 1970)
“Oh dear Lord three things I pray
To see Thee more clearly
Love Thee more dearly
Follow Thee more nearly”
Stay strong God’s people.
Take heed of His assurances ‘”Be not afraid”’
May the Peace and Grace of God be upon you always.
